Digital Rehab partnered with Coates Hire to lead a comprehensive overhaul of their corporate intranet, transitioning from a legacy SharePoint 2007 platform to a modern SharePoint 2010 environment. This initiative was part of a broader digital transformation effort aimed at improving internal communications, content governance, and operational efficiency.
Project Scope:
- Full redesign and redevelopment of the intranet interface
- End-to-end data migration from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2010
- Integration of enhanced features to support collaboration and content management
Strategic Delivery: Over a 10-month period, Digital Rehab:
- Defined and documented technical requirements
- Led vendor procurement and engagement processes
- Established governance frameworks and authored key policies and procedures
- Delivered the project on time and within the allocated $400,000 budget
Governance Innovation: A hybrid governance model was introduced, empowering nominated content owners across business units to manage their respective areas. To ensure strategic alignment and sustainability, Digital Rehab also established:
- An Intranet Governance Working Group
- A formal Committee structure to guide long-term evolution, budget planning, and stakeholder engagement
This project not only modernised Coates Hire’s internal digital infrastructure but also embedded a scalable governance model that continues to support the intranet’s growth and relevance across the organisation.
