Empowering Patients: Janssen Chronic Pain Website

Alisdair led the consolidation of three legacy sites into a single Drupal platform for Janssen, enhancing support for chronic pain sufferers. The project included full content redevelopment and was delivered on time and within the $150K budget.

In 2011, Janssen—Johnson & Johnson’s pharmaceutical division—engaged Alisdair Blackman to lead the design and development of a new digital platform to support Australians managing chronic pain.

The project consolidated three separate websites into a single, unified Drupal platform, featuring rewritten content tailored to patient needs and improved accessibility. The site aimed to provide clear, compassionate guidance for individuals navigating long-term pain conditions.

Key outcomes included:

  • Consolidation of three sites into one scalable platform
  • Full content redevelopment focused on patient empowerment
  • Seamless deployment on Drupal CMS
  • Delivered within the $150K budget

This initiative strengthened Janssen’s digital presence and reinforced its commitment to supporting patients through accessible, informative online resources.
